Fugate Farms

Fugate Farms BarnCentury Farm Meat is owned by the Fugate Family and operated by 5th Generation Cattle Farmer Whitt Shuford on the family farm, Fugate Farms. We pride ourselves on all natural grass fed beef.

Founded in 1903 as Parkey Farm, Fugate Farms is located in Claiborne County, on both sides of U.S. 25E North. Hoyle G. Parkey and his wife, LouAnn Kincaid Parkey, raised three children on the farm of about 160 Parkey Farm Houseacres. The family grew hay, corn, and tobacco and raised cattle. Son Whitt Green Parkey acquired the farm in 1934. He and his wife, Statia Chadwell Parkey, added grapes and apples and sold chickens. When U.S. 25E was improved in the 1950s or ‘60s, the road was raised to prevent flooding, and a cattle underpass was constructed for access to Cows in Hayboth sides of the Parkey Farm. Ruth Parkey Fugate, granddaughter of the founders, became the farm’s next owner in 1968. Today, Ruth Fugate’s daughter, Elizabeth Fugate, and Elizabeth’s son, Whitt Shuford operate the farm, which produces cattle and hay.
