Ingredients

  • Salt and Pepper
  • Herbs of choice (I used cilantro, parsley and rosemary because that is what I had fresh! Use your imagination or what is growing in your garden.)
  • 2 tablespoons Amish butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped

Directions

Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.

Chop all the herbs and add to a small bowl with the butter and garlic. Mix it up and set aside.

Heat your cast iron skillet until hot and add the steak. Do not touch. After about 2-3 minutes the steak should have a nice crust so flip it and cook another 2-3 minutes.

Then add the butter mixture to the top of the steak and let it melt, run down, and bath the meat in its yumminess.

Quickly take the steak out onto a board with a meat juice moat. Pour the butter herb garlic mixture on top and let sit for a few minutes .

Slice against the grain into 1/2- 3/4 inch slices and enjoy with a simple salad for a quick and restaurant worthy dinner.
